In my twenty year career in network marketing, there is not ONE SINGLE SOLITARY SOUL that I know who makes AT LEAST $10,000 a month that builds multiple deals.
I’m not saying that no one on planet earth exists that builds more than one program. But…what I am saying is this.
FOCUS is critical. Being LASER FOCUSED on something…ONE thing, is what produces the BIGGEST result. How big do you want your check to be?
If you think hedging your bets by building a nutritional company, a service company, offering prepaid legal, dental insurance, shampoos and coffee are going to lead you to the BIG money…you are MISTAKEN.
I will challenge ANYONE on this subject…anyone! Look around!
People like Brian Carruthers (Prepaid Legal), Dan McCormick (NuSkin), Susan Sly (Isagenix), Jordan Adler (Send Out Cards), Ben Sturtevant (Lightyear Wireless), Donna Valdes (Waiora), Ken Dunn (Max International), Margie Aliprandi (Neways), and Brig Hart (Monavie) don’t do multiple deals.
These people have HUGE checks for specific reasons. They make a DECISION, follow it up with a COMMITMENT…and they stay FOCUSED!
Focus your energy. Focus your efforts. Focus your time. Your check will soar.

Actually, there’s a book (Amazon?) “Numerous Streams of Income, Juggling Your Way to the Top (in Multiple MLMs)” or something like that. Allegedly, it shows how anyone can successfully manage multiple BizOpps all at once, build large organizations and lifelong residual incomes as a top rep for multiple network marketing companies, written by an alleged MLM Guru who reached the top of 3 famous MLM’s all at the same time. Whether real or purely BS remains to be seen, great video nonetheless, Todd!

One of my Favorite Books is The Power of Focus by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Les Hewitt. After having Success in a great company that happen to go Bankrupt after 18 years in Business, I said I would never put all my eggs in one Basket. Sure its great to have something to fall back on but what was happening is our group of people were always jumping into the next best deal for fear of loss. I realized I was not building these companies out of Passion it was out of fear of Loss. Just this summer I realized that YES I can build anything but I needed to find something that I loved, had a passion for and could help others and FOCUS! To many start ups now a days that do not make it! With Stability and a proven track record put the blinders on and Just GO…. Yes it’s great to fast money as most of these fly buy night deals offer but you end up having to start all over again. A steady growth with a stable company long term will reward you greatly. I have also learned if a company is wanting to pay to have leaders join, something is wrong with this picture? Look for a company that has a compensation plan that awards the part timers and the beginners. I’ve seen women on my Yahoo Groups with 10, 15, and 20 businesses! Most enrolled because they were free or low cost. Then there are others that switch companies every time I turn around and NEVER stick with anything! I’ve got just two-a home fragrance company and a spa bath/body line. They’re like a marriage-perfect together! Diane in NYC.
Todd, great wisdom and I am resigning this weekend from two secondary companies that I thought I could build on the side. I knew the truth, but you reinforced my decision for me. Thanks brother. I believe many networkers get confused by the affiliate marketing gurus out there promoting a new product of the month, but they are not building defensible network marketing companies. Thanks again.

Todd you are so right on the nose but another thing I realize is that many faii within their 1st 90 days due to lack of training or looking for a get rich quick deal.
Life don’t work like that so why expect a home business to work as so…. for this very reason is why I provide tips on my blog to teach and show others for FREE…
You know what’s funny about this Todd is that when I first got started in Network Marketing I used to think that it was the company that didn’t work. The problem was that I didn’t believe in the companies I was joining at first and it was me who wasn’t working… I’m not changing companies any more unless it’s a worst case scenario!
